First days of speed cubing

Lubricating My Cube and Finger Tricks

After Searching the whole internet for the tips and steps for preparation of learning the Fedrich method, i gotta find some common terms, like Finger Tricks, Lubrication,  Iniutative F2L and so much, and the important was Finger tricks,

Finger tricks is a shortcut, the one who mastered Finger tricks can easily solve the cube within seconds, and all others cant, pass the limit of Fedrich method, i mean maximum a 14 seconds, so according to my finding i came to notice that finger tricks is the most important way to decrease the time less than 17 seconds, because Jessica Fedrich won't use Finger tricks, that's why she cant make it less than 17 or avg 15 .

so as like everyone, i opened YouTube and searched for the tutorials and videos of finger tricks.

the video mentioned here is one of my tutorial video, to learn the finger tricks, i watched these videos, first time i thought its difficult and impossible to do this, but later automatically, i learned and mastered the finger tricks.
Because i practiced every day, i love to practice it anytime.

But there was a problem in learning Finger tricks., what i mean is that the cubes used for speed cubing and the store brought are totally different from each other. Store brought cubes are so difficult to turn, because it wont be that much smooth to use our fingers to turn a face.
and mine was a store brought original Rubik's Cube, it was little difficult to turn, so that was the reason for me to have a starting trouble to learn finger tricks.

So before totally learning the whole turns of finger tricks i searched for any solutions for this problem, because at that condition i cant a professional speed cube and even my mom wont allow me to buy one. so i searched internet, and i got the solutions from some speed cubing forums, saying that we can make cheep speed cubes from store brought.
According to the instructions we need to lubricate our Rubik's Cube, with some sort of lubricants, mainly Silicone Based Oil or JIG-A-LOO. JIG-A-LOO is a popular lubricant and it is perfect for lubricating Rubik's Cube.

But in our area, it was little difficult to find a Lubricant that made with basis of Silicone, so i searched for any other type of lubricants in my home, i got Vaseline, The Petroleum jelly , and an another type of lubricant, but according to the instruction whatever lubricants we use to lubricate in our Rubik's cube, we must not use Vaseline. Because Vaseline is petroleum product and it will decay the plastic interior of our store brought cube, it will work excellently but, our Cube wont last for more than a month. Hence i lubricate my cube with that ordinary lubricant, andi think i worked so perfectly, i got so happy, because my starts to turn so fast, for just applying a small force with my finger tips :) . hence i found two factors that helps for faster cube sloving and i learned them so vastly . now for the next steps.......

First days of speed cubing

First days of speed cubing continuing ...

well I brought my new cube, and brought it to home, as I already knew the beginner’s method to solve the cube, I download a timer software to my pc and start to solve the cube, for the first time, when I checked my time, it was 2.33 seconds my time, it was 2minutes and 33 seconds

well, I got in confusion, how could I decrease my time ? this is the method I only know, the beginners method, but what ever I messed up with my cube, I cant speed up the moves, well after a week with my practice I made it to about 2 minutes but, that was not enough, I think internet is the best reference, I searched for tricks and tips for speed cubing, I got so many pages, a lot, everywhere I found that beginner’s method is not the right thing to solve a Rubik's cube maximum around a minute , instead of beginner’s method we need to learn a method found by a lady named Jessica, Jessica Fredric

and this method is commonly called the Fredric method of speed solving, well I searched more to know how to learn this method and how could achieve my goal more fast, the only answer is Practice, without practice and hard work, the mastering Fredric method and speed cubing a only a dream,

Jessica Fredric its self has published this method with a guarantee of 17 seconds, but how could other guys could solve it 7 and 10 seconds, so before starting the practice I thought the best way is to study the basics and slowly enter the deep methods, so I need to know the basics of speed solving,
so I searched more, and found that there are many factors that influence the speed solving, for example: our method of holding a cube, and tips of moving the pieces, the hardware, the lubrication of cubes, different types of Rubik's cubes, and so on, so I decide to study each every small things before starting to practice the Jessica Fredric's method of solving a Rubik's cube…

First Days Of My Cubing

First Days Of My Cubing continuing ...

Days passed,
now i became a small cuber, i start to solve the Rubik's Cube scrambled in any way, my friends too appreciated me , i love to teach them how to solve it, but so many guys are lazy, and they cant give their "valuable" time :P for learning long algorithms, '
well on those days, that speed cubing video made a interest in my mind to start speed solving,
but on that time, i don't know the ways, and how to do that, because that is really awesome, how can anyone solve a cube in 15 or even 10 seconds, that was really unbelievable to me,
as a first step, i took a stopwatch a checked my time, that was 3 minutes :P well, i thought i need little more speed, i tried again, and with a whole day, i made it to 2 min 36 seconds , i was so happy at that time,

because, i made a cut of 30 seconds,
i mean 150 seconds, that is my first recorded best time, at that time i was solving a cube that i brought from a shop, near to my home, it was just so cheap one, will get popped out if i use it with more speed,

again days passed, i found that , for speed cubing, just speed turns cant bring us to the perfection, we need brought a good quality Rubik's Cube and we need'a lubricate it, it helps to turn the layers of a cube more fast, then we want to sand the edges of each pieces of the Rubik's cube, because that will help to decrease the stuck of Cube,
and lot more information based on this,

so , i decide to buy a new Rubiks cube, i just went to town , and searched the most of the shops in town, atlast, i found my required cube in a store, Big Bazar, we;; it just cost only 300 Indian Rupees, it was quite good, and will be better for a beginner speed cuber, so i brought it and went to home........

Story Of My Cubing

First Days Of My Cubing
My First Rubik's Cube
it has been already a few months, that i started solving a Rubik's Cube, only 3x3,

i think, an inspiration, or anything that invoked my mind to love Rubik's cubes, was when i met my neighbor , Muthu, real name Prabin, it was a coincidence, i was just came to his home to surf internet and learn something more about online stuffs and web designing, .

suddenly he asked me to just try to solve this cube, by giving a Rubik's cube to me , i just got wondered :P . is there a solution for this thing !

i think, that made me more anxious to learn about this thing, he shows me he solving the cube with about 5 minutes, so i brought a store cube, and search internet, and as per the method of cubing, i though learning beginner's method is better, because without knowing the base, its impossible to buildup anything, so i surf internet and found some sites which help me to learn this stuff, and with my hard work, practice and interest, i learned to solve the Rubik's cube first time in about 5 minutes, ho god i was so excited at that time, i learned about 5 or 6 algorithms to solve the cube at that time

well days passed, one day i noticed that there is championship of solving Rubik's cube, i really got wondered, is there..?

so i decide to watch some videos of it, i searched YouTube, oh my god, i saw speed cubing in my life, for the first time, it was a video of a guy solving his cube within 19 seconds,in world championship..
